Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 | Lima

Upon arrival at Lima International Airport you’ll be met by an Atelier concierge who will assist you. Before hotel check-in, get a snapshot of life in Lima and enjoy dramatic coastal views from upmarket San Isidro and Miraflores Districts.

Day 2 | Lima

Your first full day in Peru’s capital city includes a visit to admire the treasure of Lima’s Larco Museum, before a walking tour in Colonial Downtown. Lunch comes courtesy of a live cooking demo at a top Lima restaurant, before an afternoon at leisure to explore the city further.

Day 3 | Lima/Cusco/Sacred Valley

Next on this Active, Exclusive Tour of Peru you’ll be whisked away to the enigmatic sites of Cusco and the Sacred Valley, some of the most iconic wonders in South America. You’ll fly to Cusco from Lima, where a driver will be waiting to take you to Explora Valle Sagrado in the Sacred Valley for check-in. One of the most revered chain of hotels in Peru, Explora are known for their love of the great outdoors, unique tours and local guides. The perfect place for this Active, Exclusive Tour of Peru.

Day 4 | Sacred Valley

Your time in the Sacred Valley can be as busy or easy-going as you like. While at Explora Valle Sagrado, choose your own excursions such as the perfectly preserved ruins of Moray and Ollantaytambo, the hypnotic salt pools in Maras, an al fresco lunch against the backdrop of the Sacred Valley, and so much more.

Day 5 | Sacred Valley

Another full day to explore the Sacred Valley your way on hiking, biking, and overland tours. You may be keen for a self-guided trek along a high mountain pass, to be wowed by the ancient architecture of sites like Pisac, or simply be content enjoying the facilities, views and fine dining cuisine at your five-star Sacred Valley hotel. The choice is yours.

Day 6 | Sacred Valley/Machu Picchu/Cusco

Often voted the World’s Top Travel Destination, day 5 of your tour takes you to Machu Picchu, a place that has captured the imagination of countless visitors over the years. Once here, it’s easy to see why. Having traveled on a scenic train journey through the Sacred Valley, you’ll get to enjoy The Lost City on a private guided tour, before free time to explore Machu Picchu on your own and find that perfect memorable picture. Later, return to Cusco by rail and your awaiting boutique property.

Day 7 | Cusco

Day 7 of this enthralling tour of Peru is left completely at leisure to enjoy the fine restaurants, boutiques, and many cultural highlights of Cusco your own way. You may wish to explore Sacsayhuaman Fortress, visit the Qorikancha Temple (the most important of its kind in the Inca Empire), or lose yourself around the atmospheric – and historic – streets of Downtown Cusco.

Day 8 | Cusco/Lima

As your trip draws to a close, you may have time for one final walk around Cusco before your onward flight to Lima and home, full of priceless memories of Peru.
